Grace Missions Teams
Want to get involved with a Grace Missions Team on a regular basis? We have several general missions teams that provide a variety of services. Read the team descriptions below, choose the one that suits you best, and then send us an email to let us know you're interested.
Allocation Team
This team receives and reviews applications for missionary support from within and outside of Grace Fellowship. Consideration for support is given based on specific parameters confirmed and established by the Elder Board.
Care and Nurture Team
When missionaries are home on leave or visiting Grace Fellowship, the Care and Nuture Team provides housing, plans receptions, and arranges opportunites for our missionaries to speak to small groups and classes. They also help coordinate adoption and care of missionaries by small groups from Grace Fellowship. This team solicits input from missionaries to find out their needs and then organizes ways to meet those needs.
When short-term mission teams are preparing for trips, the Care and Nuture Team helps support them by coordinating efforts to collect items needed on the mission field.
Education Team
The Missions Education Team is committed to developing an ever-increasing awareness of what our long and short-term missionaries are doing both on the field, and on the home front.
The current initiatives include publishing a missions newsletter and implementing special presentations and events which highlight the efforts of our hard-working missionaries and of the people groups they serve. We also maintain an area in the church lobby specifically designated for a missions presence.
Mobilization Team
The primary goal of this group is to mobilize people to get involved in mission trips by providing training and organizational support for mission opportunities.
Prayer Team
The prayer team meets once a month to pray for the missionaries and the people groups they serve as well as the short and long-term projects and ministries supported by Grace Fellowship. Feel free to join this prayer team on the 1st Sunday of the month at 10:30 a.m. in the Prayer Room.
