For more than 10 years, Grace Fellowship has been helping individuals and families with their personal finances and money management through the Financial Ministry. The Ministry’s core activities focus on providing financial education and counseling both to those who attend Grace Fellowship and to members of the community. Whether people are looking to pay off debt, develop budgeting skills, improve spending habits, save money, or build wealth, the Financial Ministry exists to provide whatever support they need to meet their financial goals.

Many of the Financial Ministry’s programs promote the biblically-based financial principles that are taught by Dave Ramsey, a nationally syndicated radio host, New York Times bestselling author, and money-management expert. In addition, the Ministry has recently developed an alliance program to help establish financial programs in schools, other churches, prisons, and organizations.

Through the Ministry’s financial education program, Grace Fellowship offers Dave Ramsey’s Financial Peace University (FPU), a 13-week financial education class, every fall and spring at both Grace Latham (20 Delatour Road, Latham, NY 12110) and Grace Halfmoon (1 Enterprise Avenue, Halfmoon, NY 12065). FPU is both entertaining and comprehensive, covering everything from eliminating debt to building wealth. Registrations are available for the Grace Latham campus and the Grace Halfmoon campus.

The Financial Ministry provides free, confidential counseling in the Financial Ministry’s office by appointment with our counselors Mondays through Thursdays. A team of two trained financial counselors meet with individuals to understand their current financial situation, listen to their goals, and work with them to set up a plan for the future.

The Financial Ministry was recognized by Dave Ramsey’s company as a model ministry in the country for its financial counseling program. The Ministry welcomes questions from other churches and organizations about the benefits of a financial counseling program and how we run ours.
