Dedication

Parent/Child Dedication is an event that symbolizes the pledge of a parent to raise their child in a Christian home and church where he or she can come to know, love, and obey Jesus. It also signifies a commitment by the people of Grace Fellowship to provide a loving, biblical community that supports and prays for the entire family. We welcome any parent that has accepted Christ as Savior and is striving to live according to biblical standards to participate in this very important ceremony.

Parent/Child Dedication is not the same as baptism. It is our belief that baptism is a public proclamation of one’s faith that can be made only by someone who personally believes in Jesus Christ.

Also, this service is not just for infants. You can dedicate your child of any age to God at Grace Fellowship.

How to Have Your Child Dedicated

If you are interested in dedicating your child, families are asked to register and attend a Parent/Child Dedication Core Class. Childcare is provided but must be requested when registering for the class. Register for the class online.

Dedications are performed approximately 6 weekends a year at all three worship services. You may sign up for a service at the end of the core class, or at a later time by calling Wanda Evanchick at ext.316.
