Wedding Ministers

Jim Anderson

Photo of Jim AndersonJim Anderson has served as a pastor for over thirty years and currently teaches at the Albany College of Pharmacy. Together with his wife, Laurie, he serves with the Pre-marital Counseling Ministry at Grace Fellowship. Jim is a long-time husband, a father, and a grandfather.

Jim says he enjoys officiating at weddings because "In the love of a man and a woman about to be married, there is a fresh revelation of the love of God for humankind and of His enduring commitment to the creation and celebration of life. Being a witness to this revelation is nothing but pure joy."

Jim's favorite quote on marriage is “Wives, submit to your husbands as to the Lord. For the husband is the head of the wife as Christ is the head of the church, his body, of which he is the Savior. … Husbands love your wives, just as Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her to make her holy … (The Letter to the Ephesians 5: 22-23; 25-26)

His advice for newlyweds? "Do not let the challenges in building an honest marriage cause you to forget how you came into love for one another."

Please contact Jim by phone at 782-7408 or by email.

Bill believes that newlyweds should spend the early years of their marriage enjoying each other and growing their relationship.

He enjoys officiating at weddings because the ceremony represents the culmination of much time spent sharing and encouraging. It is the celebration of two lives coming together and it reminds him of his own wedding and his beautiful bride.

Bill Minchin

His favorite quote on marriage is, "A magnificent marriage begins not with knowing one another but with knowing God."—Gary and Betsy Ricucci

Bill's advice to newlyweds is to make prayer together as a couple a very high priority. Set a goal of reaching a deep level of intimacy with God in your prayer life together. He enjoys officiating at weddings because of the opportunity to be a part of such a significant God-honoring occasion, both in the lives of the couple as well as their families. The fact that he and his wife Elisa do this as a team makes it even that much more special.
