Parent/Child Dedication is an event that symbolizes your pledge to raise your child in a Christian home and church where he or she can come to know, love, and obey Jesus. It also signifies a commitment by the people of Grace Fellowship to provide a loving, biblical community that supports and prays for your family. We welcome any parent that has accepted Christ as Savior and is striving to live according to biblical standards to participate in this very important ceremony.
Parent/Child Dedication is not the same as infant baptism. It is our belief that baptism is a public proclamation of one’s faith that can be made only by someone who personally believes in Jesus Christ.
Parent/Child Dedication is not just for infants. You can dedicate your child of any age to God at Grace Fellowship.
Families interested in participating are asked to attend a 60 minute orientation entitled, "Passing on a Legacy of Faith," which covers:
The orientation class is offered at 11:00 a.m. Childcare is provided but must be requested when registering for the class. Dedications will be performed during the worship services.
Register for the class online.
If you still have questions about Parent/Child Dedication, contact the church office at 785-4959 ext. 301 or stop by the Information Center.
Grace Fellowship practices baptism by immersion, as an expression of the believer’s faith and their new life in Christ. Opportunities for baptism are provided each month (except December and May) at the 5:00 p.m., 9:00 a.m., and 11:00 a.m. worship services. Please note that baptism is limited to 3 participants per service.
Candidates for baptism are asked to participate in a class entitled, "Baptism Orientation," which answers some of the basic questions about baptism, such as:
Parents are asked to attend the class with their children.
As part of your baptism, you may choose to give a “live” testimony or pre-record a video testimony through our video ministry. Details are explained in the Baptism Orientation class.
Orientation classes are on Sunday mornings at 9:00 a.m. Register for a class online.
