
Join us Wednesday mornings for a time filled with fellowship, biblical teaching, sharing, and prayer. Women can drop into WDS any Wednesday without feeling lost. Women of all ages, backgrounds, and church affiliations are welcome.
WDS meets in the Grace Fellowship Youth Center from September to May, 9:30 to 11:30 a.m., following the Averill Park public school calendar. Quality childcare is provided and refreshments are always offered.

We are currently doing a special 10 week Bible study on the New Testament book of Colossians. Our focus will be to understand and apply God's truth revealed in this book to help us stay strong in our journey with God.
"I consider my life worth nothing to me if only I may finish the race and complete the task the Lord Jesus has given to me—the task of testifying to the gospel of God's grace." (Acts 20:24)
Introduction to the book of Colossians and the series, "Staying Strong in the Race."
What are some characteristics of a person who wants to stay spiritually healthy and to finish strong? We will look at the Christians in the church at Colossae for some valuable insights.
Who is Jesus? Why is it so important that we know the truth about Him? We will gain a fresh appreciation for who Jesus is and all that He has done for those who put their faith in Him.
To remain strong in our race is to have an unmoveable faith that the gospel of salvation in Jesus Christ is true. This passage of scripture will guide us as to how we can continue growing our faith in Christ.
This scripture uses the illustration of clothing—what to wear and what not to wear—to show us how to stay strong in the race. Let's be appropriately dressed for winning.
In order to compete and win in any event we must know and follow the rules of the competition. The same is true of our journey with God. In order to stay strong in the race, we need to follow God's rules. Let's look at some of them in this passage.
Faith in Jesus Christ not only changes us as individuals, it also changes our families. When all else fails, read the instructions! We will look at some basic instructions that God gives us that will help strengthen our marriages and encourage others to do so too.
Who doesn't need encouragement as a parent? There are many practical principles in the scripture that will help us as parents. Come and be reminded of how we can strengthen our parenting skillsto hand the "baton of truth" to our children.
These verses encourage us to have good conversations with God in prayer and to use wise conversations in sharing the truth of the Gospel with others. We will look at some components of effective prayer and discuss practical advice for sharing our faith.
The book of Colossians ends with Paul mentioning many of his companions. We will identify these people and draw lessons from their lives that will help us wisely choose friends who will encourage us to stay strong in the race to the finish.
